Benedicte & Stephane Tissot Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Sans Souffre NV
TissotGrape: Pinot Noir
Vintage: NV
Type: Sparkling
The Bénédicte & Stéphane Tissot Blanc de Noirs Extra Brut Sans Souffre NV is a compelling expression of Jura terroir, offering a pure and unadulterated glimpse into Pinot Noir's potential in this region. This sparkling wine, crafted without added sulfites, unfolds with a delicate yet complex profile. On the palate, crisp red apple and subtle red berry notes intermingle with nuanced brioche and yeasty undertones, a testament to its time spent on the lees. A striking minerality, reminiscent of chalk, underscores the wine's vibrant acidity, creating a refreshing and dynamic mouthfeel. The absence of added sulfites allows the Pinot Noir's inherent character to shine through, resulting in a clean, focused, and elegantly dry sparkling experience that is both intriguing and utterly delightful.
Stéphane Tissot and his wife Bénédicte have 35 hectares of vineyards “cultivated in bio-dynamic viticulture (certified by Demeter) to allow the soils to live, to have grapes untouched by chemical products, to allow natural yeast fermentations, to reduce the doses of sulfur in the cellar.”
They produce truly unique, terroir-driven natural wines, wines we love, admire, and cherish. These are without doubt some of our most prized wines.
André and Mireille Tissot founded their estate in 1962, in the village of Montigny-les-Arsures, in the Jura. Stéphane took over from his father with a new vision and converted it to chemical-free farming, organic and then biodynamic. They are meticulous in their farming and in the cellar, producing up to 28 unique cuvees.
A wine made with love and passion produces an emotion... You can find in a wine the personality and the character of those who made it because each gesture, each operation, each decision has its importance.
